How to Open Firewall Ports on Windows 2008 Server

To run a server for public access we need to configure some firewall setting to allow a a port to access publicly.

Here the steps you need to follow...

1. Goto windows  firewall with advanced setting

2. Click on inbound Roles.

3.Click on New Role

4. Select RoleType Port

5. For Protocol and Port select TCP and a Specific Port like 8080

6. For connection allow all connections

7. For name select a name
